There are a number of really talented runners set to contest this one and the market looks to be dominated by the handicap division at this point in time.

Taking a look at the market, punters will see that the race is wide open with Charlatan trading as the slim favourite at this point in time.
Right now, you’ll find the star of controversial trainer Bob Baffert’s barn priced around a 6/1 listing with several top bookmakers. He has put together some great performances during the last couple of years but has been sidelined with injuries at various points that have prevented him from gunning for the truly big races.
Should he remain healthy throughout the season and pick up a few Grade 1 races then you can expect him to be a much shorter price on the first Saturday of November. It’s also worth keeping an eye on the situation that trainer Bob Baffert is dealing with after picking up a suspension from Churchill Downs and now one from the New York Racing Association following his positive in the Kentucky Derby with Medina Spirit.
Both Happy Saver and Mystic Guide are currently ranking as the top two second choices with both selections priced around an 8/1 margin. That’s probably a bit short for either of them but it would be no surprise to see them going into the gate in Del Mar this November.
Life Is Good is another big star in Baffert’s California barn and many feel as though he may be more talented than Charlatan but he will need to be able to prove that this summer at either Del Mar or Saratoga (likely at Del Mar). Right now he’s trading around a 10/1 margin but will probably be there or thereabouts on the day.
