You can bank on this year’s upcoming Breeders’ Cup at Santa Anita being one full of excitement and, more than likely, quite a bit of media attention as well.

It has been a controversial year at Santa Anita and their fall meeting kicks off in just a couple of days after the two weeks at Los Alamitos concludes.
While there are plenty of punters keeping an eye on the ante post market for the Breeders’ Cup Classic, the fact remains that there are plenty of really fascinating contests on the undercard as well and the Breeders’ Cup Distaff this year appears to be one of the most exciting races that will unfold.
There has obviously been a bit of lost star power after Midnight Bisou was withdrawn from running this year and it looks as though she is set to be sold at the Fasig-Tipton November sale for what many believe will be a very high price tag. We have also seen the high-profile defection of Monomoy Girl who was a major coup as the first big purchase for Liz Crow, one of the most high-profile emerging bloodstock agents in the thoroughbred universe.
Monomoy Girl was considered by many to be the outright favourite to win this race in the ante post market over the last couple of months but now that we don’t look to be having those top two available the odds have been blown wide open.
