Breeders’ Cup Distaff Betting Tips PT 2
- By A.J. Ryder on October 25, 2017 15:55 GMTMany expect a victory in the Distaff in her big send-off to be something that could definitely add a few zeroes onto the end of her sales price once she hits the auction floor.
There are a number of pretenders to her crown, however, and you can expect her to have to deal with some very stiff competition as we get closer and closer to the big race. The biggest challenger appears to be Forever Unbridled, who the bookmakers are floating in the ante post markets at a price of around 7/2 depending on whom you’re wagering with.
There is plenty of reason to get excited about her and the simple fact is that it really could be anyone’s race - though the fact that Stellar Wind is based in California and has run some of her best stuff over the surface at Del Mar really indicates just how much the competition are up against it.
Elate is hovering anywhere from a 4/1 price tag to a 5/1 price tag and she could wind up being a bit higher on the day since many expect a lot of volume to come in on Stellar Wind - and thats not just sentimental money either. She will be a popular option in the multirace wagers that many of the big players at the Breeders’ Cup prefer to focus on.
Unique Bella can be backed at an 8/1 listing but there are still question marks over whether she’s actually going to run in the contest so it’s probably best to send your money elsewhere unless you’re looking at a market that has gone Non-Runner No Bet.
