Cheltenham Festival Day 4 Betting Tips Pt 2
- By A.J. Ryder on March 13, 2014 17:49 GMTWilly Mullins Arctic Fire appears to be getting most of the attention here and he’s trading at 6/1 coming into the race with a good record. The other to watch is Rainbow Peak who has seen his price slashed down to 14/1 from 20s and looks like he could take further action on the day. He looks a good e/w fancy at this point but won’t be when he’s around 10/1 if he gets down that far.

Following that we have the Albert Bartlett Novice Hurdle and there are plenty of formful contenders entering this one and looking set to enjoy every bit of the 3m distance on offer here.
Briar Hill has plenty of appeal and remains undefeated this season but is quite short at an 11/8 price tag with the majority of bookmakers. He boasts quality form and will have Ruby in the irons, who has had a tremendous festival so far, so you can expect the price to possibly go a bit shorter. This is also a horse who will be popular in accumulator wagers leading up to the Gold Cup.
Kings Palace appears to be the real contender to watch out for if you’re backing the favourite and punters have backed the David Pipe/Tom Scudamore charge down to 7/2.
The Cheltenham Gold Cup is the next contest and that’s where everybody is going to be looking to strike gold. Look out for Bobs Worth to be pushed all the way here as the 7/4 price on offer right now looks far too short. While he is certainly his prime right now, there is a lot of competition on display and you’d fancy a breakout winner here.
Silviniaco Conti is back for another run and he’s priced down to a 3/1 margin that will probably drift a bit in the last bit before the race so keep your eyes peeled if you can get him at 4/1 or even 9/2 if certain factors come together. The Gigginstown combination of First Liutenant and Last Instalment loom large with 10/1 and 9/1 prices right now.
Ruby Walsh’s mount On His Own could be the real one to watch out for and there’s every chance that he could cap off an excellent festival with an incredible performance at the key moment.
