Cheltenham Gold Cup Latest Update

It remains very competitive as we go into the penultimate day of the Cheltenham Festival with so many horses in the mix to capture the big prize at the end of the week’s racing. As the de facto world championships of chasing is almost upon us, it’s really difficult to separate the top contenders from each other.

It looks to be a real treat for the punters as really outstanding odds are available on a lot of different contenders here with Native River looming as the big fancy amongst a number of those keeping their eye on all of this year’s action at the Cheltenham Festival.

Native River finished third in this race last year and many are supporting him to build on that excellent performance and make a big statement going forward here for his yard.

This will be his first race since that place effort in 2017. You reckon that it may force a few other punters to begin looking elsewhere as many are preferring horses who have had a few races under their belt before they get kickstarted right into Festival season.

Might Bite looms as the second choice amongst most of the punters and there will be plenty who think that he’s going to be able to build on some of the excellent performances that he has turned in so far over the past few races. There is a lot to like about his ability.

Our Duke has also moved into the third favourites position and he has some real claims here to make a big impression but you get the feeling that some punters think he’s a better choice to finish second.
