Danedream Headlines 2011 Japan Cup

Breakout German three-year-old Danedream is looking for her fourth high-profile score on the bounce as the Arc winner ships to Japan in search of her first attempt outside of European shores. There is a lot to like about this filly who is co-owned by Japanese connections. Already having accumulated nearly 2.5M in Sterling, you can see the comparison's between her and Snow Fairy already starting to develop.

Except Snow Fairy didn't win the Arc.
Punters will find Danedream trading at or around 5/2 in the ante post market ahead of the race which should run early on Sunday morning.
One of the biggest challenges that Danedream will have to shake off is the five-year-old super mare Buena Vista, who went off the boil a bit when disqualified after winning this race last year. She didn't pick up a score during her next five races and will be looking for some serious revenge here after a controversial DQ last year.
In her past three races she has gone off as the favourite only to disappoint.
In-form five-year-old Tosen Jordan, trained by Yasutoshi Ikee, recently conquered the Tenno Sho over this same course at a hefty 32/1 and will now go off somewhere in the margin of 6/1 to 7/1. An accomplished horse by top-quality Japan Cup winner Jungle Pocket, Tosen Jorden is rapidly emerging as a serious spoiler for this one.
Victoire Pisa could only muster a strong third here last year when sent off at 27/1 in the 2010 Japan Cup. A disappointing seventh to Workforce in the Arc indicated that he perhaps hadn't come on as much as they had hoped in his three-year-old season. He showed what he was genuinely capable of when capturing the world's richest race this year – the Dubai World Cup. Sent off at 12/1 under Mirco Demuro, he quickened extremely well from dead-last to hold off all challengers by half a length.
Having amassed nearly eight million in Sterling and still being an entire colt, you must wonder whether he stays on to race again next year. The Dubai World Cup winner is unraced since then and that's likely the reason for the hefty 12/1 price available at this point.
Other notables include Sarah Lynx at 14/1, Japanese stalwart Oken Bruce Lee and American contender Mission Approved.
