Game On Dude Forced Wide in Dubai World Cup Draw

As the 2012 Dubai World Cup draws nearer by the day, the wagering is starting to firm up thanks to the post position draw held this morning. With connections being allowed to pick their stalls based on the order in which they were selected, we saw an American contender open and close the selecting. Royal Delta, Breeders' Cup Ladies Classic champion, saw her connections opt for lucky stall number seven while Game On Dude and Chantal Sutherland will be coming out of the far right stall in number fourteen.

This has seen Game On Dude's odds drift upwards with several bookmakers taking him to 10/1 from a previous price of 7/1.
Canadian-born Chantal Sutherland will be the first female jockey to contest the world's richest race and her story was made even more riveting after condition Bob Baffert suffered a heart attack shortly after landing in Dubai.
Baffert, a true American supertrainer, is said to be doing well and is expected to be on-course for Saturday's activities. Sheikh Mohammed (or Sheikh Mo as Baffert calls him) has ensured he is receiving the best care and this serves as a reminder that there are still many good stories in racing despite a recent bout of negative press state-side.
The American contingent is restricted to this pair of runners with four entries from Godolphin alone set to contest this one as Capponi, Prince Bishop and Mendip are all hung out rather wide in the 11 thru 13 stalls.
Master of Hounds, a popular choice for this one for the past few weeks, has been given stall 1 and will need to find room on the run-in if he chooses to deploy a ground-saving trip as many expect him to. Japanese sensation Eishin Flash runs from stall 2 and will likely face his biggest challenge at the break as I expect Master of Hounds to come out on him.
So You Think, currently rated as the best runner for this distance on the planet, has been taken into 5/2 by many bookmakers thanks to his plum draw in stall four. Expect him to assert himself early and take up a good stalking position.
Game On Dude holds the key to this race – most aren't used to going as fast as he's going to go at the start. With the one-dimensional draw, Chantal must break perfectly and get to the front right away. She'll need to exploit Game On Dude's high cruising speed and still have something in the tank for the stretch run at Meydan.
