King George VI Ante Post Betting PT 2
- By A.J. Ryder on November 17, 2020 19:42 GMTThe bookmakers have him right in the mix for this one with a listing of around 7/2 which is pretty solid considering he has won the race before. If you back him now then you’ll be locking in a longer price than you’ll be getting after he runs credibly in the Betfair Chase. Should be run poorly in that race then you can expect him to drift sharply.

Colin Tizzard’s Lostintranslation is the next candidate in the ante post market and he was pulled up in the King George last year so has plenty to prove if he is to return for another kick at the can. The eight-year-old was able to muster up a third place finish in the Gold Cup last year and should definitely be in the mix on Boxing Day at Kempton if he’s able to come into the race in good order.
He’s another who hasn’t had a run this year but looks to be pointing to the Betfair Chase as his seasonal debut. His price is hovering around a 6/1 margin right now which puts him on the cusp of each-way territory for some. Should he run in the top two places in the Betfair Chase then you can expect his price to start building up some momentum and shortening over the next month.
Nicky Henderson’s charge Champ will be looking to build on his excellent victory in the RSA Novices’ Chase last season at the festival with a potential run in the King George on Boxing Day. The bookmakers certainly have him priced as though he will be lining up in the race and his 12/1 price tag will appeal to some punters looking for an upstart contender.
Both Allaho and Kemboy are priced into the mix here with a 16/1 listing available on either of them while some punters could also find appeal from the likes of Waiting Patiently and Fakir D’Oudaires at 25s.
