Only Two Contenders Set to Challenge Dunguib On Saturday

Dunguib was one of the biggest stories from last year's Cheltenham Festival and not due to a winning performance but instead being considered one of the biggest bankers only to come up short with a third place finish in the opening race. Dubguib's loss came as a sharp rap on the knuckles to punters who get carried away with betting on novices.
After disappointing at Cheltenham, Dunguib ran a tame sixth in the Rabobank Champion Hurdle at the Punchestown Festival a month later when sent off as the 5/2 favourite.
Unseen since then, Dunguib is now finally set to make a seasonal debut less than a month before Cheltenham kicks off. The eight year-old son of Presenting has been firmly pointed at the Champion Hurdle this year and he's set to line up in the Red Mills Trial Hurdle at Gowran Park tomorrow.
Bookmakers appear to be unconvinced about Dunguib's attempt at the Champion Hurdle - a race that looks difficult on paper. Punters can find Dunguib listed as low as 14/1 to pull off what would be a very dramatic score but he'll have to tackle the likes of Binocular, Hurricane Fly and Menorah among others.
Only two contenders will face off against Dunguib at Gowran - Luska Lad and Gimli's Rock. Willy Mullins has withdrawn his two entries for the race, Blackstairmountain and Fiveforthree. This leaves Dunguib with all the pressure on him and anything less than a win could see his price tumble dramatically.
