While horse racing in the United Kingdom has been temporarily suspended due to the Coronavirus concerns, racing continues behind closed doors in Ireland. Since the UK Grand National was cancelled, it appears as though the punters all have their eyes on the Irish Grand National, which is sure to involve some really exciting contenders.
The ante post markets currently have some really good odds on offer with a big payout looming for anybody who is able to get this puzzle right. The Irish Grand National attracts a lot of talent and we should see even more yards having a go at the contest this year with the dearth of racing opportunities available.
Any Second Now appears to be the lukewarm favourite and he’s coming into the race with a price hovering around a 12/1 margin at the time of this writing. He was victorious in his last race at Naas, where he captured a Grade 3 contest and he has been out five times in total this season.
He unseated his rider three races back and that will be a concern going forward into this race but he has proven that he can handle the longer distances and should be a solid selection for the punters here. With his price where it is, you can bank on him to be a solid each-way selection - particularly if you can find a bookmaker that is paying out five or six places on this one.

Discorama was available as a selection in the Grade 3 Ultima Handicap Chase at the Cheltenham Festival and he was able to muster up a third place finish on the day of the race. He comes into the Irish Grand National as one of the leading fancies to capture the trophy but the main issue with him is that you have to go back to the fall of 2018 before you can find his last win.
