A few bookmakers have her floated as low as a 9/2 margin but the 6/1 looms large with most major books and that will likely hold up for a while until she makes her seasonal debut later on this year.
Almond Eye is one of the most fearsome mares on the planet and the Japanese contender appears to be pointed towards the Arc this year. It definitely adds an element of spice and some international intrigue to the race - it also means that the contest will be a major betting event in Japan. The Japanese bet into separate pools than the rest of the world so the amount of money being wagered on Almond Eye won’t filter over into the other markets.
It will be interesting to see the level of support that Almond Eye receives in the local markets but this does look to be shaping up to be a race for the ages between two superstar female horses that have bossed their competition for much of their careers.
Almond Eye can be backed in the neighbourhood of around 8/1 with the bookmakers who are currently listing her and if she is victorious in her upcoming attempt at the Dubai Turf, she is more than likely to be pointed towards the Arc and potentially the Breeders’ Cup at Keeneland.

Sottsass is another one who is in the mix with a 16/1 ante post price tag. Logician is anywhere between 12/1 and 16/1 while Waldgeist is in the market with a couple of bookmakers but he is trading around a 20/1 price tag anywhere where he is actually listed.
