His two length score in the Dewhurst sets him up nicely to handle the distance that he will tackle in the Guineas. There is every reason to think that he can move forward in distance and you’ll find that reflected in him being listed as the ante post favourite for the Epsom Derby as well.
You can back Pinatubo as high as an 11/10 price tag for the 2000 Guineas while his lowest price hovers around a ⅘ margin.
Earthlight is trading as the second favourite in the 2000 Guineas and he has plenty of talent at his disposal and could prove to be a thorn in Pinatubo’s side if he is able to grow and become even faster over the winter break. He has a pair of Group 1 victories from his two-year-old season but all of them come at a mere six furlong distance.
It’s going to be interesting to see whether he can make the requisite move forward in order to handle Pinatubo, who is more than proven at the 7f distance and should easily handle a mile based on his breeding.

Siskin and Arizona are both trading anywhere between a 10/1 and 14/1 price tag. That’s going to make things interesting for the each-way options in the 2000 Guineas this year. Kameko and Palace Pier are also interesting outside options. There is plenty to like about their abilities but they look to be a step behind the top selections here.
Both Mogul and Kinross remain each-way considerations as well and you’ll find both of them priced around a 20/1 listing with several top bookmakers.
