Qipco Champions Stakes Ante Post Update PT 1

We are now nearly just a month away from the kickoff of the Qipco Champion Stakes at Ascot which acts as the defacto finale of the British flat racing season in or contest contested over 1 mile 2 furlongs. this year's contest has plenty of interesting variables as we go into it and a lot of the wagering is based around some real conviction that Roaring Lion will be able to pull off another massive victory following what we saw last weekend.

As it stands right now the bookmakers are listing roaring lion at a very short price which is consistently above even money but very much within the realm that you must really like him if you're going to back him to win this massive contest in a couple of weeks.

During his performance last time that we saw what he was really made of and this is a cult that appears to be coming on stronger with each race and the shown that he can take on virtually anybody in his division during his last couple of races which of them particularly impressive.

His biggest rival appears to be the son of Frankel in Cracksman who comes in with some revenge on his mind after being vested last time out when he appeared to have the race sewn up just before a long from home.  his odds are fairly solid across the board with a number of different bookmakers and he remains a win only shot as his price just isn't high enough for an each way sweep.

Enable remains another major Contender here and this would be a serious feather in her cap if she was able to emerge to pull off the victory here against the Colts. There is rumor that she is heading to the Breeders Cup and there is plenty of question marks over whether they will want to expend a lot of her energy here or save it for the big gate at Churchill Downs in early November.
