On the opening day's action we saw several well fancied horses come in, the most notable of whom was Godolphins Blue Point, who is able to capture the King Stand stakes and put together a really nice performance for his ownership group headed by Sheikh Al-Maktoum.

On Wednesdays card there are a number of very difficult puzzles to solve and one of the most famous aspects of Royal Ascot for a number of global bettors is the fact that you have a lot of races that will contain upwards of twenty horses - some very short distance.

Things get off to a rather interesting start with the Queen Mary Stakes, which is a group to event, and you'll find that there are a lot of great prices on offer here so you can pick up a lot of good value if you're looking to make an each way wager.

Final Song appears to be the lukewarm choice heading into the contest and you’ll find her hovering around a price of 11/2 and looking like she has to get everything just right in order to land the race. Kimari is priced at a very similar listing and it will be interesting to see how the odds shift around on the day and there is every chance that she could wind up going off favourite.
