Sizing Europe into 6/4 for Champion Chase Repeat

This year's Cheltenham Festival is already starting to shape up with several very interesting narratives developing now that we're just about six weeks away from opening day. With a few of last year's winners, namely Big Buck's and Hurricane Fly, coming in with impressive victories last weekend, we had Champion Chase winner Sizing Europe romp home by an immense fifteen lengths over a field that included Big Zeb – one of his biggest rivals.

The margin of victory in that race and the ease at which Sizing Europe disposed of the 2m1f course at Punchestown prompted a number of bookies to clip his price dramatically ahead of another run in the Queen Mother Champion Chase at Cheltenham.
As it currently stands, punters will find Sizing Europe beat down in a mere 6/4 with a number of bookmakers taking him into 5/4. Punters can expect an even money price come festival time if there are no complications emerging from the Henry De Bromhead camp.
It appears as though he genuinely relishes the distance and now that connections have given up campaigning him at or near the 3m mark (obviously with the thought of a Gold Cup in their minds) he can focus on what he does best.
Several bookmakers are offering a Cheltenham market with several of last year's winners all repeating their victories. Hurricane Fly, Sizing Europe, Big Buck's and Long Run to win their respective races this year has been clipped from around 25/1 to 18/1 with most major bookmakers. Kauto Star looms a large threat to Long Run and the living-legend added to an accumulator with the other entrants would pay an even tidier sum.
Most bookmakers are now offering non-runner money back for those looking to play a contender that will serve as a spoiler to any of the main champion repeats. Big Zeb is listed as a 4/1 second choice with Finians Rainbow trading at an 11/2 listing. Somersby and Peddlers Cross also feature at 10/1.
