Despite being a lengthy 20/1 shot on the ante post market for the 2011 Hong Kong Sprint, Sole Power's connections have declared that they are more than confident that their globetrotting four-year-old can make a big statement during his Pacific sojourn.

Speaking to the media, jockey Keagan Latham declared "It will be his toughest task to date and he will need to produce a career best to be involved but I'm quietly confident. They don't go fast enough for him in Ireland. He needs to be run off his feet to get him going and then he quickens again."
With a positive race shape setting up nicely for Sole Power, he remains a venture intriguing each-way fancy heading into the contest. Rocket Man is the significant favourite and is sitting at a 3/1 shot in the ante post listing. The Australian bred superstar is working his way up to a massive three million in sterling earned over his six-year-old lifespan. Talented and brave with a front-running sensibility, he made headlines when conquering the Group 1 Dubai Golden Shaheen at Meydan this season at the business-end of their meet.
Sole Power will be looking to turn things back to his Betfred Temple Stakes, a Group 2 contest, when he bested Kingsgate Native, Overdose, Prohibit and Borderlescott. He also got the best of Starspangledbanner at York in the Group 1 Nunthorpe Stakes.
Perennial runner-up Sacred Kingdom is another Australian bred who's taking money for this one and the Sha Tin specialist has managed to finish second in four of his past five with the only exception being a sixth place finish at Kranji to none other than Rocket Man.
Lightly-raced Curren Chan lines up for the Takayuki Yasuda yard and he's taken four graded wins from five with Kenichi Ikezoe in the irons each time. He hit at nearly 10/1 last time when conquering the Group 1 Sprinters Stakes at Nakayama. Curren Chan is 6/1 at the moment.
Lucky Nine is priced at 8/1 and looks like he needs a confidence boost at a lower level before he starts knocking down world class Group 1 company like he'll find here. He hasn't hit the board since last year and has a number of runner-up efforts but few opportunities to find the line.
Sole Power looks to be one of the only price horses who has the ability to progress.
