Epsom plays host to a number of exciting Group 1 contests with the Derby and Oaks card unfolding over Friday and Saturday. There's a lot to like about the several high-class races we'll see and if we can get a few favourites beaten then the payouts are going to be extremely generous. The Derby picture is very much about one horse while the Oaks seems to be between a limited group or three or four.

Coolmore's Maybe was well-beaten on her seasonal debut this year at Newmarket when finishing third ten lengths back. Sent off as the 13/8 favourite on the day, it appears as though punters still have a lot of confidence in her ability to get the job done and several bookmakers have her floating at around 11/4.
The Fugue is certainly getting a fair amount of buzz and William Buick will be fancying his chances for this one. Effectively, most are assuming that we haven't seen the bottom of this lightly-raced filly yet and we all saw what we she was capable of when she captured the Group 3 Musidora Stakes just a few weeks after running fourth on debut. She looks set to improve with this start and is trading at a competitive 3/1 price. Undefeated Vow gets Johnny Murtagh and will be looking to improve off of a recent listed score at Lingfield. A 5/1 listing shows that she's very much in the reckoning and capable of being a factor with continued progress.
Dubai World Cup winner Monterosso lines up in the Group 1 Diamond Jubilee Coronation Cup with a 6/1 price and he's going to be taking on a seasoned group of international veterans that includes the upstart St Leger winner Masked Marvel, with odds-on selection St Nicholas Abbey set to get most of the attention. He was beaten a length when sent off at 2/5 on his seasonal debut at the Curragh and many are expecting him to improve here. Treasure Beach trades at a competitive 10/1.
Camelot heads into the Epsom Derby as the prohibitive favourite with many bookmakers listing him at 4/6. Bonfire is considered a genuine contender and his Dante Stakes victory was perhaps better than the margin might suggest. His 5/1 price will likely fluctuate so keeping an eye on undefeated Main Sequence may not be a bad idea either. You'll find the chestnut son of Aldebran trading at 10/1.
Galileo's son Imperial Monarch is also undefeated, albeit from only a two race sample. Look for him in the neighbourhood of about 20/1 and looking value for the place bet.
