2011 looks to be shaping up as a filly's year to remember as young female contenders across the planet are making bold statements in many of the world's top races. Heading down to crunch time for much of the flat racing world we have British Champions Day, the Arc Meeting and the Breeders' Cup all within the next 50 days.

The latest big mover looks to be the much-vaunted Sarafina who has just won her third race in a row with a gutsy performance in the Prix Foy. While the margin of victory was only by a slim head, it was her gritty performance that will earn much of the plaudits and a win is a win no matter how you look at it.
Japanese contender Hiruno D'Amour put in a game performance to finish second and both look set to head to the Arc with plenty of credibility at the distance.
Several major bookmakers have clipped Sarafina down to 3/1 ante post for the French classic and de facto finale of the European flat racing season. Workforce is trading as the second favourite with a very uniform 5/1 price across the board with virtually every bookie.
Nathaniel, who pulled off a solid upset a few weeks back in the King George VI, has firmly put himself in the picture and now trades around 11/2. Galikova won at the weekend to add credibility to her claims and she's taking money around 6/1.
So You Think is an especially interesting one as the ante post markets are all over the place with prices on the Ballydoyle horse. He trades anywhere between 9/2 and 7/1 as his connections have been a bit evasive over where he is expected to go. He continues to trade at a strong price for the 2011 Breeders' Cup Classic – particularly on the exchanges.
