The four-year-old daughter of Intikhab was winless in her flat campaign in Europe this year but was a factor in virtually every race. Her debut came in July when finishing fourth to So You Think at Sandown. She then string together a pair of second-place victories in the Nassau Stakes and the Irish Champion Stakes.

A third place finish in the Arc De Triomphe was then followed up by a third place finish in the Champions Stakes. Running against males in every contest this year, she acquitted herself well at the highest level.

She scored by a neck over Aventura at Kyoto and is now set to tackle some of the continent's best contenders at Sha Tin.

The exacta from the 2011 Melbourne Cup, Danedream and Red Cadeaux will both be lining up for the 1m4f contest which runs in three weeks time.

As it currently stands, Ryan Moore will take the irons on Snow Fairy.

Opting for the Hong Kong Vase gives her a much more winnable target this year and will likely be her last race of the season.
