Top Offer Set For Greenham Stakes Debut

Despite boasting a single solitary run during his two-year-old season, Juddmonte Farms Top Officer is gaining momentum for his 2000 Guineas bid this year. The talented son of Dansili has been trading in the neighbourhood of 13/2 for Guineas glory.

It was an impressive maiden win last year, a 3.5 length margin, coming at Newbury. Having conquered a 7f contest, he will now kick on and contest the three-year-old classics.

Speaking to the media this morning, conditioner Roger Charlton confirmed that Top Offer's next stop would likely be the Greenham Stakes. Heading back to Newbury for his seasonal debut is a logical move and his connections appear to be bullish about his chances as he steps up to tackle Britain's best flat runners.

He comes off an impressive 6f workout last weekend and it appears as though only unsuitable ground would see him go elsewhere. “Top Offer will improve for this run but I'm certainly not saying he'll need it,” declared Charlton.

While there is no ante post market for the Greenham Stakes, there is certainly one for the 2000 Guineas and Top Offer now been taken into 5/1 by Ladbrokes.

Most Improved remains the only genuine challenger to Camelot's claims as the top three-year-old and his third-place finish in the Group 1 Dubai Dewhurst Stakes came by less than a length. He looked to have every chance heading into the final furlong but was unable to find more as the others around him quickened well as they moved forward. His breeding is French and you can bet he's going to want more ground.

Undefeated Camelot remains the betting favourite with a 5/2 ante post being bandied about for the Group 1 Racing Post Trophy winner.
