Workforce Looks Good for the Arc in Latest Gallop

One of the principal contenders for this year's Prix De L'Arc De Triomphe, and the winner of last year's iteration, is the impressive Workforce and he was looking especially solid on his most recent outing at Sandown. Working with regular jock Ryan Moore in the irons, Workforce put in a solid 9f shift with a pair of stablemates – Dux Scholar and Confront adding further spice to the workout.

The mornings move involved Workforce pulling ahead of a leading Confront and then holding off Dux Scholar on the run-in.
It was a rare sighting of Moore, who has been out of the saddle since an accident at Glorious Goodwood. Many expect him back shortly though and he'll have first choice of contenders heading into the European season's de facto finale.
Speaking to the media, conditioner Sir Michael Stoute declared “It was a good piece of work and with Dux Scholar there hopefully it will bring him on a little bit more. It was a good, strong piece of work on lovely ground. He's moving well and seems on good shape.”
Workforce will be facing off against Nathaniel, who collared him in the King George this year, and the three-year-old will be looking to lay down his credentials for a globetrotting four-year-old campaign.
Other big names heading into the contest include ante post favourite Sarafina and it's understandable as she has been campaigned exclusively in France and looked especially dangerous on her home course, running in the colors of the Aga Khan.
So You Think commands the second favourite's position and he looks well-poised to score at one of his preferred distances. Conditioned now by Aidan O'Brien and owned by the venerable trio of Smith/Magnier/Tabor, he is looking to cap off a nearly perfect campaign in Europe – having been bested only once this year – by the dearly-departed Rewilding.
Nathaniel, Reliable Man and Galikova round out the least of leading contenders.
